11.5mo gone boob crazy!

DD was down to 4 feeds a day - 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm (roughly!)

She's had a cold and is teething but the past few days has been desperate for the boob and by 11am this morning had had 4 feeds!! She's was off solids last week but seems to have her appetite back a bit more now and I thought this would mean less bf but it hasn't!!

My nips are so sore! And I'm going back to work in 3 weeks so need to change at least the daytime feeds to sippy-cup-cows-milk and can't see that happening at the current rate she's demanding boob!!

Is there a growth spurt around now? Or should I just put it down to her cold + teething?

Seeing the hv tomorrow but interested to hear if anyone else has experienced this?!

It is probably cold/teething, but I do remember my DS being a real boob monster around the one year mark...almost like new born feeding again

He calmed down after a few weeks - so this too shall pass.

Having said that, be careful - I seem to also remember that I got mastitis because of the sudden change in frequency of feeding

He did the same thing around the two year mark but again, settled down a bit and we carried on until his 3rd birthday

I'm just a bit anxious nervous about going back to work 3 days a week if she's still this obsessed! Think there's going to be enough going on what with settling in to nursery etc!
