Here goes...I have been expressing and feeding my ds breast milk in a bottle for the last 13 weeks as he was not keen on breastfeeding when he was born, so I started to express which was the best option for me. He has absolutely thrived on being fed this way and I feel so proud to have done it for this long! I have had a good milk supply but now as he is growing more and eating more, I am very nervous that my supply will get worse or I will be stuck in traffic or something and I will have nothing to feed my baby...so I think I need to find him a formula that he will like. I have tried to give him aptimal and he threw it all up, which made me very nervous. I think what I need to do is to mix breast milk with formula for a while to get his tummy used to the formula (I have bought some Hipp Organic as I have heard its good) Does anyone know the suggested time to do this and the ratios of BM to Formula? Today I am going to try 2 oz formula with 2 oz BM, should I do this for a week, then give him formula straight up?? We are not looking to get him 100% onto formula, I just want to have the option of giving him some formula if my milk supply goes low. Does anyone have any experience of doing this? Do you have any advice? I am taking the baby to America to visit my family and am scared about not being able to pump on the plane or being stuck somewhere...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
