anyone feeding a toddler?

dd is 19 mths, and increasingly asking for milk during the day, she feeds at night when i put her to bed, then about midnight, maybe once during night, I don't really wake up although last night i did, it was 3am.

We have just moved and i am staying in more, throughout the day she asks for milk at least 3 or 4 times, she has water, juice and food. We play, potter, watch telly, cook, etc, just housy stuff.

she is dc 6 and i seem to remember the others all just having morning and night at this age, I was probably busier then though so\ maybe she is bored?

how much do your dc's feed during the day at this age?

Mine were only fed morning and night at that age. I did wear a normal bra so that made feeding very difficult. I did feed them during the day if they were ill.

It maybe that she is unsettled with the move and therefore needing it for a bit if comfort. If you want to stop these extra feeds maybe cuddles, warm milk with you and a snugly blanket maybe a suitable alternative. If you don't I would imagine that as she settles and you get busier she'll stop asking.

i think you're right nick her sleep became disturbed too so is probably all mixed in with moving.

I'll let her be for now and see how we get on as we settle in.

7 or 8 times min in the day (maybe more), 1-5 times at night at that age.

At 17 months only 2 or 3 times per day. Always morning and bedtime and maybe
1 other. She sleeps through though so none at night. My other 2 got bored by 12 months so I am delighted to be still feeding her (as I MN!).

At that age we had evening, middle of the night, morning and naptime - but DS has been trained that feeding happens in bed, so I don't think it occurs to him that it might be available at other times/places

If he's ill/disturbed in some way then he's a lot more likely to announce he's tired at other points in the day though
