8 months old and off his formula

My LO usually chugs down between 21 to 24oz of formula each day, but since yesterday he's been refusing most of it. When he woke up he only had 5oz instead of his usual 7-8 and now he only had 1 instead of 4. I thinking that he's teething as in the past 2 days he's been really snotty, had a bit of a temperature, grizzly and barely sleeping at night. I wouldn't usually worry as he drinks a lot of formula and it compensates when he doesn't eat much during lunch or tea, but now with this refusal I would really like some advice.

Hmmm. I would say don't worry, offer water and try some Calpol at regular intervals (say two doses four hours apart) to see if that helps. Might be teething or coming down with something.

By the way, would the ashton and parsons teething powder help?

Yes to the teethinb powder. He should be having 20oz a day but that can be topped up with cheese/yog etc, maybe add milk to his food?

He sounds like he has a bit of a cold/bug i would offer the milk as usual as well as offering water so he doesnt get dehydrated and offer milky foods, or mix some milk in say porridge or mash.

I wouldnt worry about it too much, once he us well again he will probably make up for it :)
