Breastfeeding and food

Hi,

My DD is 7mo, she LOVES her food, I mean really loves it. The problem is that she's now refusing the breast. I can only get her to breastfeed twice a day and even then she will only latch on for a couple of mins.

Any advice? I am adding milk to her food but would rather she were being breastfed. She won't even feed at bedtime (7pm) but has a massive tea at 5pm.

Help! I love breastfeeding and don't want to stop and I know how good it is for her.

Not really sure what to advise but my DS was the same and started having more breastmilk a month or so later.

Have you tried offering less food?

Is she still feeding at night? If so then she might be having more then. You could try expressing and giving it in a cup too.

She's stopped altogether now

Totally refusing the breast and a cup, I don't know what to do!

Have you tried feeding while she's still asleep/just waking up?
