Have read vitamin drops are good if EBF - which ones do you use and is it once or twice a day and easy to get it in?

My dd2 was on vit drops till she was 8 months as she was born 7 weeks early. When she was discharged from the paediatrician at 8 months he said to stop them. I asked if I should finish the bottle or give them now and again and he said no. He said a baby that eats a good diet doesn't need them. She was bf too.

OK - I just went to our Dr's this morning and we were seen by a Partner instead of our usual. I asked if we should be using vitamin drops primarily for vit D3 as I read it was recommended in NICE guidelines and on NHS website. She said, and I quote "NICE guidelines? Well, I certainly haven't heard of this. I think it is just a blanket thing they send out every now and then, mainly for families who don't cook". Me - so D3 isn't an issue? Only I have heard a lot about babies not being able to make enough in Winter, but this isn't something you are worried about? "What does she drink?' Me - cows milk, eats cheese, yoghurts and mackerel at least once a week - but I heard you can't get much D3 from food? Her - "No, that is fine, I wouldn't worry about it.'
Very confusing!

I ordered the drops 3 for 2, and will use them until Spring/sunny weather and then re check up to date info.
