6 month biting!

my 6 mnth old has started biting my nipples (he has just started teething badly). i have been saying 'no' firmly and putting him down on the floor. any other ideas??

They usually grow out of it pretty quickly - it's just an "experiment from their point of view. Take a look at Kellyom
One word of caution. Be careful with that technique of saying no firmly and putting baby on the floor. I read on Kellymom that it can cause a nursing strike and I think this is what happened to us last month (DS is 8 months).

My DS did this at a similar age and occasionally still bites when teething (he's 13 months).

If he bites, I try not to shriek (I did once, he got such a fright and got very upset), unlatch him, tell him firmly 'no biting' and then let him latch back on. Repeat at every little nip. He actually stopped pretty quickly...
