Lopsided norks - what do I do?

I am being fitted for a bridesmaid dress for the wedding I already posted about, and the dress fitter isn't sleeping at night cos she can't get the bust to 'sit right'! I know its because my left nork comes down to about an inch below my right from bfing. But I have no clue what can be done about it! Its a very fitted dress too, so may look quite odd! Any ideas? (and I can't get a different bra as I just bought the only one that would work!)

I was going to suggest padding etc in bra, but shouldn't the bra be holding your boobs up, whatever lengths they go to?

beartime · 27/03/2006 22:28

Doesn't appear to - even with an underwired! I can hold it up with one hand though - but can't really walk around like that. You mean padding the one that's not as 'floppy' - that might work I s'pose. What would you pad it with?

Hmmm, I would be talking to a bra fitter about it not being held up. Are you wearing the right size (band and cup)? Are the straps as tight as they should be?

As for padding, there are those "chicken filet" things, like implants, but they go in your bra? Again, bra shops tend to have them. (I've not used them, but they look like the professional fix.)

beartime · 28/03/2006 10:12

maybe the straps aren't tight enough.. but if one is bigger than the other its going to be off anyway isn't it?

oh also, I've got to wear a strapless for the wedding!

OP posts:
NotQuiteCockney · 28/03/2006 10:13

Ah, yes, strapless bras are a problem. I really would go see a good bra fitter. And yeah, if there's a size difference that would be obvious in the dress, stuff one side.

don't have a clue where to go - do you know?

Are you in London? Are you large-norked? I don't know too much about bra fitting places, but I'm sure others can help. Oh, and I think John Lewis is ok, but they're not a corset shop, obviously.

JackieNo · 28/03/2006 10:49

Bravissimo aren't just for the large of nork - I think they cater for smaller sizes too (not sure which you are?). Also if you're in London, everyone raves about Rigby and Peller.

Nork! LOL! Grin What a horrible word! Sounds like a whale's name.
One of my 'norks' is a bit lopsided from bfing as well, ds prefers the right side. It was never like this before and is slowly going back to normal as he feeds less, so hopefully it will follow that curve.
In the short term can you get one of those 'chicken fillets' for the smaller boob, to even them out?

beartime · 28/03/2006 15:45

Small nork Blush - was 32A Blush Blush but with bfing thankfully became 38B. Where do you get the chicken fillet thingys? There isn't a John Lewis or any of those other places near me that Iknow of - I'm not in London, I;m in Ashford, Kent.

Well I found these online, \link{http://www.taraschoice.co.uk/default.cfm/loadlevel.3/loadindex.347/level2.58/level3.347\here}
They're a bit pricey.
I was asking my dp what the real name for chicken fillets was and he said 'man cheaters' Shock.
What a cheek, I don't know what you would call a rolled up sock stuffed down the front of a bloke's trousers. Grin
I've seen these cf's on ebay as well.

Jackstini · 28/03/2006 21:16

Beartime - you can get them from La Senza I think - about 20-30 quid

maisiemog · 28/03/2006 21:30

Or to save money....a real chicken fillet...it's only for one night! Grin

Jackstini · 28/03/2006 21:53

pmsl maisiemog!

beartime · 29/03/2006 14:16

Oh goodness I think for that much money I'd rather shove a sock in it Grin or just go with the lopsidedness Grin Plus imagine if anyone found out I'd bought a silicone addition...
