Please help bf baby won't settle

I have a 10 week old DS & I am breastfeeding him. Everything has been fine until about 2 weeks ago. He has become very fussy after feeds & just won't settle.

After feeding he burps quite easily but he continues to wriggle around & will often burp again. I can sometimes get 4 or 5 burps out of him & he still needs winding! He seems very uncomfortable & will cry. He won't nap during the day unless he's on me & it's getting increasingly hard to settle him after night feeds. He will sometimes feed no problem, although it is short feeds normally. Other times he bobs on & off the boob. He also gets the hiccups all the time & is constantly dribbling.

Would really appreciate any advice I just don't understand he has become so fussy & uncomfortable in the last couple of weeks.

hum constantly dribbling is a sign of teething. so could be nothing to do with feeding.

he's also getting big and could be starting to get more distracted as he gets older. and short feeds are fine they tend to get more efficient with feeding as they get older so feeds do get shorter.

I think I'd you are concered then dropping into your local breastfeeding cafe if you have one would be a good idea. they could check your latch just to make sure he's not taking in air when feeding.

Agree that it could be nothing at all to do with feeding and might be teething, can you feel any teeth close to coming through?

Lots of wind, cat napping, bobbing on and off the breast, hiccups and dribbling are all things that a tongue tied baby might do.

Jilted - can't feel any teeth coming through.

Mawbroon - he is very squirmy, windy & unsettled when sleeping, & there is a lot of dribbling/bubbles at the mouth. Should I go to my GP to get them to check tongue tie?

I think you should go to the GP, just to be sure, then see the BF support services or health visitor.
