What the fuckety fuck new horror is this now then? Having survived a 9 week painful latch problem, make it through 4 separate attacks of mastitis, I now have a massive and really painful milk boil on top of my nipple!

Kellymom suggests a visit to the doctor to lance it, ARE THEY FUCKING KIDDING ME? A 'nipple' and a 'needle' are not words that should ever be seen in the same sentence.

Hey Booboo I am new to the world of breastfeeding so I can't offer much help I'm afraid! But u swear as much as you like it sounds like you've had a tits full .

A trip to the drs does sound like its in order but it's gotta be better than getting up every night for the next godknowshowlong to make up a formula feed? It's that thought alone that kept me goug through the cracked nipples and shit latch. That and the copious amounts of cake I've been promised I can eat with no effect to my waist line.

Keep it up, you're surely due a break soon!

Painful latch, mastitis, milk blisters can all be caused by a tongue tied baby. Has anyone who knows what they are doing checked for this?

mawbroon thanks for the suggestions but I think I know what caused most of it. The latch was a problem with the actual latch because her chin was recessed and was solved by the exaggerated latch technique. The mild blister is because she was in hospital last week, was very stressed and reverted back to asking for boob every five minutes. While I am grateful I could do something to make her feel better, I think the oversupply caused the blister. The mastitis, just luck I suppose?
