Sleepy baby, while breastfeeding.

My son, is three days old. He is very sleepy during feeds, and I have to wake him for day feeds. I tried blowing air on him, but now it's not really working.

Any one got any tips?

Have you got him snuggled up with you all the time, skin to skin?

Not all the time As he was better yesterday. I have him on my chest now, dressed.

My son was a bit like this, trying to remember what we did:

• took off some clothes before a feed (he was a summer baby though, maybe not so practical at this time of year)
• tickle his feet
• tickle his ear / blow gently on his ear
• rub the back of his head/neck

Good luck, I'm sure it won't be long before he's more awake and it's no longer a problem. And congratulations!
