When did your periods come back if breastfeeding?

DD is now 15 months, and there's still no sign.... starting to wonder if I've actually hit the menopause!

She still feeds LOTS during the night, but I'm now back at work 4 days a week so am away from her between 6 - 8 hours then, and don't express....

I'm wondering if it's worth going to the docs to get something to kick start it, as I'll hit 40 soon so want to get cracking on #2....

You can still get pregnant if you're breastfeeding even if you haven't had a period.
But to answer your question:
10mo with dd (slept through from 7mo, dropped day time feeds at 8mo and dropped bedtime/morning feeds at 17mo when I was pregnant with DS)
Still waiting with DS but dropped night feeds a months ago. He's 1 next week.

you can definitely get pregnant without having had a period while breastfeeding. I did it twice .

As to timings - with after DS1 it would have been around 9.5months, with DS2 around 12.5 months (going by pregnancy dates since I didn't actually have the period) and with DD they came back when she was 19.5 months old. Non of them had night-weaned when my fertility returned. It seems to vary very much from woman to woman.
