Does hungry baby milk work! help

My daughter is 7 months old and is having stage 1 milk, 6oz every 3 hours. I have been weaning her for the past 3 weeks and she has 2 small meals a day with water. My problem is that she is still waking every night sometimes twice for a bottle. She drains the bottle every time. I have tried her on 7oz but she doesn't always finish it and still wakes in the night. Do you think I should try hungry baby milk?

I've used hungry baby milk at night when DD was waking, but I don't think you can use it as a quick fix, sorry... We only used it when she went from a 5am wake to a 3am and a 6am wake, but overall she wasn't taking more ozs (so instead of drinking 6oz at 5am, she drank 3oz at 3am and 3oz at 6am, iyswim). She was grumpier because her sleep had been interrupted as well. So we tried hungry baby and she went back to just her 5am wake.

However if having hungry baby milk means they start dropping ozs I don't think that's for the best.

What time do you feed her her 'dinner' meal? We've discovered that feeding dinner at 6pm with bedtime at 7.30 was bad, as she'd never drink any of her bedtime bottle! This isn't too bad as we still dreamfeed, but we're having to move it earlier to make sure she can get the bedtime bottle in and then we can finally drop the df.

She has her tea about 6pm and her last bottle at 8pm.

It might be that her tea is too near her bottle, so she's only hungry enough for 5oz or so. Could you try moving her tea forward? If she is starting to eat a decent amount of food, her bottles could change quite rapidly, so maybe 8oz every 4-5 hours. We're just settling in to a routine of:

8am 8oz
11.30 lunch
2.30/3pm 8oz
5ish dinner
7.30/8 8oz

I did bottles at 7,11,3 & 6.30pm with food at 8, 12 & 4.

Maybe try spacing her feeds to 4 hrs and she may well drink more.

Ok. I feed her on demand usually though and it works out at 6 bottles a day. It should really be less for a baby of her age.

She's seven months old and waking twice a night? You've only just started weaning, and babies get the majority of their calories from milk until a year of age.

Really, chill out a bit :) She's fine.
