Going out and BF

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I intend on BF and I am aware that the Slug and Lettuce are BF friendly. I was wondering if there were any other places that allowed BF in their restaurants as my dad refuses to let me cook for him when he visits (don't ask!) and it would be nicer to have a more varied choice.

It is illegal for anywhere to stop you breastfeeding if your baby is less than six months old. Bugger BF friendly - whip em out everywhere. Grin Good luck.

In Scotland, you are protected by law for the first 2 years!

Feed wherever you and your baby need to Smile

Oh Grin that's good... with all of the controversy I thought that restaurant owners could just chuck you out if you BF

Look there. There is no age limit, you are allowed to breastfeed anywhere (with very, very limited exceptions), and they cannot kick you out. You're just double covered if the baby is under 6 months.

In Scotland it's a criminal offense (rather than a civil one like in the rest of the UK) to stop you BF if the child is under 2

Just another BF question (again sorry if it has been asked countless times before).

I've been trying to research what my rights will be as a BF working mother. Some of the information that I've found has said that the employer must provide a place to express and store breast milk whereas some sources have said that the employer should provide a place to express but doesn't have to... which is correct? OR am I just going to have to dig up the company's policy?

Zuleika, there is no age limit - the OP can bf anywhere she and the baby happen to be. I wish this myth of '6 mths' would be laid to rest :(

Oh good - I just remembered the controversy about the Equality Bill, I guess.
