Hiya,

Wondered if anyone had come across any research but also on storage and transportation. Don't want to make them any sicker!

Breast feeding network has a very comprehensive leaflet/PDF on storage of ebm and I think it might mention something about transporting. If you google jt im sure it will come up. What a brilliant thing to do for someone who is I'll!

How lovely of you! I would've done the same for my friend (but sadly I moved the same week she was disagnosed).

Is your relative very far away?

Also, google donating milk, to the milk bank - here
I donated with DD and their rules are pretty clear and easy to follow.

Well done to you :)

what a wonderful idea ....... I used to donate many many years ago to the SCBU and got info on safe storage /transport from them

I can't donate to a milk bank. When Ds was 2 weeks and then 4 weeks I spent HOURS on the phone trying to get local milk bank to take my milk. They never phoned back when they said, ummed and Ahhhhd about whether it was too early, sounded very doubtful and like they couldn't be bothered. I felt almost like if I expressed for them they'd probably 'forget' to process it and be pouring it down the drain.

Now this other opportunity has arisen.

I don't know about research but I used to express a 9 oz bottle daily for my niece to "top her up" as she was sooo hungry. She only lives across the road so it just went from fridge to fridge . I do get the blame for her chocoholic tendencies though Grin
