Lanolin Allergy

I have a four week old baby and gave been using lansinolh nipple cream ... But have now worked out by trying numerous things including being diagnosed with thrush and mastitis (due to the extrene pain and swelling) that i must be allergic to the lanolin - also allergic to wool so makes sense just annoyed about the pain I have caused myself for the last four weeks!

Has anyone got any suggestions in what I can use instead?

Thanks for your help and fingers crossed I can be rid of this pain for good!

Ooh there is another nipple cream that doesn't contain lanolin but I can't for the life of me think of its name Blush

A bump so hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about!

Is iton your Kamillosan GoldenOrange?

You could also try some breast milk to soothe things.

Why have you needed to use Lansinoh?

They were very sore at the beginning presumably from a bad latch at the start but never got better as the cream made it worse! Have has latch checked etc but just would like the last bit of pain to go! It might just take time!

vasalin will work just as well, just use a small amount and write of before feeding. Although if you use a tinny amount it'll probably have worn of before the next feed anyway.
