Going away for a couple of days and bf 1 yr old

I'm going away for 2 nights next month, and not sure what the effect will be on breastfeeding?
Ds3 will be 14 months by that time, he normally feeds during the day as well as morning and bedtime but it varies, if we are out and busy he might only bf morning and bedtime.

I don't want to give up bf but will this be a problem or can I just go, and resume as normal when i get back? or will I have to express or something while I am gone?!? (I never normally express ever, only tried it with my ds1 and i hated it so hope that wont be necessary..)

I'm clueless cos I've never left my kids before, so someone who has been in this situation please tell me how it works!

And what am I supposed to about getting too full while im away? I would have thought at this age it would be alright, but the one time I have left him without doing his bedtime feed (dh gave him cow's milk while i was at a friends house), by the time i woke up in the morning boobs were rock hard and really full, like you get when they are newborn! so would that calm down by the 2nd day or would it get worse?!
should I try and keep him to minimum of morning and bedtime only for couple of days before I go to try and avoid this, or would it not make much difference

Am I over thinking this? my other 2 were formula fed from much younger so i dont have a clue about this

I think you would probably need to express to stop from getting engorged and sore, but hand expressing would probably relieve some of the pressure. Not sure about the effect two days off would have on supply sorry Sad

i did not know how to hand express but i have googled it so now i know and i will probably just do that and it will be alright, so thanks!

sorry I cant be more use re: the timeframe but I'm sure hand expressing will help maintain the supply as well as helping to keep you comfortable!!! I dont envy you being away from your dc for two days as just the one makes me feel like I'm going to explode!!!
