So my 19 wk old PFB is EBF however has started to seem a little unsatisfied - this teamed with sudden night waking for a feed is starting me to make me wonder does he need an additional something?

Ideally selfishly I don't want to wean just yet. Does this sound like just a phase? When is wakes he has a good feed so clearly is rather hungry & not just waking out of habit. It just feels particularly tough after weeks of sleeping through!

TIA

He doesn't need anything but milk at 19 weeks. Just more milk!

Hopefully it's the 4 month growth spurt and will pass soon Smile

Thank you - this what I'm hoping too & willing to ride it out.

It's just tough when you have the world & his wife telling you he needs "something more". If I hear the words baby rice again I may just scream!

I have noticed he is fussing a bit on one side & not feeding quite so well during the daytime so perhaps this is also linked. Constant worry :-)

Calorie content of breastmilk = high
Calorie content of baby rice = low

If he needs something 'more' it's the milk that's gotten him to this stage! He wants milk and you want to feed him so it doesn't sound like it's a problem for you two.
