Posted couple of days ago, dd now a week old, had v bad engorgement initially which didn't really clear
Also nipples chewed esp left side
Today woke up with severe pain outer aspects both breasts, redness where it's sore and feeling like utter shite
Dd gaining weight plenty nappies etc
What can I do re feeding. Alternate sides? Express although will that make engorgement worse? Think need antibiotics so will try see gp today

Keep feeding and take the abs. With just engorgement or just a blocked duct you can clear it by feeding. With mastitis, take the abs! Sympathies.

I had same thing when ds 4 weeks old, kept asking people to check my latch then finally hv sent me to gp. She gave me abs, it cleared up pretty quickly. Hope you've got some relief now?

After all that, I read something along the lines of "take paracetomol and go to bed with your baby, feeding as often as they want it". That seemed to work when i felt I was getting it again. Good luck.
