Ew think I just fed DS slightly off expressed milk

I just sniffed the milk I've been feeding him this morning- unfrozen yesterday afternoon in the fridge and not used, so I thought rather than waste it I'd feed him it this morning and express some more to go in the freezer for next time I have to go out.

It should have been ok shouldn't it? Will he be ok? Has anyone done this? Worried... He's asleep now and fine so far

It will be fine. Don't worry. With those timings I bet it's not even off- it does have a weird smell sometimes, sort of soapy.

X posts. Even if it was a bit off which I doubt, it won't do him any harm.

Oh good. I so hate expressing I didn't want to throw away all my hard work.

It'll be fine. I always find that defrosted BM has a weird smell.

Ignore that! My phone is having a fit, have reported!

mummysmellsofsick · 05/09/2012 17:59

Oh that's good to know. It was a kind of off milk smell rather than soapy. I threw the rest away, but he's been fine so the good news is that I haven't poisoned him. Thanks for the reassurance!

I wonder what your phone wrote Twelve!

ha! It copied and pasted in a text message. Fortunately not a rude one, but still quite random...

What I was saying was that when some of my ebm went off after defrosting it was really obvious - separated, sour, no way a baby would've taken it. Don't panic!
