Ds2 is 2.5 weeks old and bf has been going very well, I tried to express for the first time an hour ago with a the avent manual pump and got 3 and 1/2 ounces out so i've put the teat on the bottle and the lid and stored in fridge like it said in booklet. Im now wondering if I should wait to introduce a bottle as I am having no problems feeding him myself but it would be nice for dp to feed him occasionally with ebm, should I wait until 6 weeks like the guidelines say or just another week or 2? I could never express any with ds1 so this is all new for me now :)
Also, will be safe to freeze the milk now as it has been in the fridge for an hour, but put sealing disc on the bottle and label it?

Tia

Yes you can freeze milk which has been in the freezer for up to 48 hours - have a look at these guidelines on kellymom for lots of info on storing milk.

You might want to transfer it into something else though, rather than put a bottle (especially with the teat?) into the freezer?

I use tommee tipper storage pots which take 60ml (2oz) at a time.

I introduced expressed milk in a bottle at 2-3 weeks both times with no problems. Am using breastflow bottles with ds who is 9 weeks and he takes a bottle and straight afterwards goes on the breast with no problem (he's a very hungry 98th centile chap). I get a break in the early morning, take ds to my DH at around 6 after a night of feeding, ds gets a bottle and I get a couple of hours kip, then I express on waking. works for us!

OP I got this avent breast pump which comes with a couple of storage pots with lids that then convert to a bottle, are these what you are using? If not you can buy them seperately see here. The blurb says they are compatable with all avent pumps

Thank you for all the infomation, I have took the teat off the bottle and put a sealing disc on it instead so will freeze it and maybe leave it another week :) have saved the kellymom website aswell, will have a good read tomorrow.

joymaker I dont have that pump, just the regular manual one and the avent electric one which I havent used yet so will try that when expressing alot more. I will get the pots though as might be easier to store, I did pick up some breastmilk storage bags (boots own ones) from boots the other day but got home and they said not suitable for freezing so im going to order the Lansinoh ones as no boots near me stocks them.
