Faster flowing teats?

Flosie1989 · 31/08/2012 21:07

DD is 4 months old now and a friend of mine said I should switch her bottle teats for faster flowing ones as DD is still on number 1.

However she seems to be managing fine with the first stage teats and still manages to get it all over her chin!

Any advice is more than appreciated :-)

If she is managing fine then i'd say there's no need to change. We swapped from the 1s to the multiflow (can't remember what they're called now! The ones that are crosses) when she seemed to be 'sighing', like she was getting tired. The multiflow allows her to control the speed of the flow - the harder she sucks, the faster she'll drink. She made a wee mess the first couple of times we used them, I guess because she wasn't expecting the quicker flow, but then got used to them fine.

Variflow! I think that's what they were called. We were using tommee tippee.

Whatever makes her happy,so leave as it is. Ds1 moved to level 2 teets when he was 4 days old due to him being very sucky and turning the teet inside out. They move at their own pace!

Well her tests have been going inside out I just didn't think anything of it until you've just mentioned it!

I think im going to try a variflow to see how DD gets on

That's great Flossie. The good thing about the , I found, is that you don't need to worry about upgrading to 3s, they'll still suit as she gets a bit older. Remember to change them when they show signs of damage though
