Baby likes to feed with head arched back

DD was fine with breast feeding for the first couple of weeks. She seemed to latch on well and put on weight appropriately.

Now she is still putting on weight ok but has started to be much more fussy about feeding.

Sometimes she'll feed well as she always did but at other times she will thrash her head from side to side when she tries to latch, 'nibble' at the nipple rather than latch and often prefers to feed with her back arched over my lap and her head back. This appears to be so she can look around but feeding in a dark quiet room doesn't seem to help either. She then swallows so much air she gets uncomfortable and wants to sit up whilst still hungry and so starts a cycle of grumpiness.

Any ideas what I can do?
