have to make sure the white ring at the bottom is placed in snugly. that you screw the 2 lower pieces on smoothly. only 2 problems I have encountered.

do you push the white ring quite firmly? - i have been pushing it down with teat tongs (partner says maybe i am pushing it in too much)

yes i do. I don't bother with teat tongs. clean hands are good enough. I run my fingers around the rim of the white ring to make sure it is properly in place.

I also use fingers to put the white ring in.

Also, I screw the bottom on, then wipe the outside of the bottle dry, then tighten up the bottom (does that make sense?)

Out of 15 MAM bottles, I did end up having to throw one away as it would not stop leaking. It did take me a little while to get the hang of making sure the base was screwed on properly (and DH still not quite there yet Wink)

Agree with everybody else. I've been using them for 8 months and I still get leaky bottles sometimes. They are very fiddly to put back together but my ds was so much happier once I started to use these bottles/teats.

thankyou for the tips - drying the bottle and tightening it again definately helped
