Tips for Successful Expressing

My son is 28 weeks and breastfed (plus solids for the last few weeks). For things like porridge etc I have been trying to express and am conscious that when I return to work in November he will probably need to go to the childminder with one bottle/cup of expressed milk. However, quite often when I try to express without him on the other side my efforts are pretty fruitless. Any tips on how to improve this? Many thanks.

He can have full fat cows milk in food from six months. so I would freeze what ever you can express now for your return to work.

Have you tried staying with a photo of you're baby while feeding. doing it while relaxing can help to. trying no to concentrate on what you are getting out.
