12weeks feeding - growth spurt or????

12w DD2...breastfed, feeds 2hrly short feeds in the day.
Was doing 10pm-3/4am.. The past week feeding 3hrrly at night. Past two nights doing 10pm-12am???????
Growth spurt?

Fwiw mine all ate their heads orf from 12 wks til 14 weeks. Ds1 (now almost 12) started baby rice at 14 weeks. Has eaten well ever since and is still skinny. I digress ... Yes more than likely growth spurt ime.

It could well be a growth spurt, have a read of the link and see what you think.

If it doesn't settle down after a few days to a week try 12 alternatives for the all night nurser, although I wouldn't recommend completely night weaning such a young baby. As for offering baby rice, I weaned my DS at 16 weeks. He was bf and a terrible sleeper and 4 months was recommended then. Weaning actually made his sleep worse. Baby rice and purees contain fewer calories and have lower nutritional value than the milk, so you could end up just making LO hungrier. Have a read of this on baby rice and NHS Starting Solids which includes some useful things to look out for so that you know when LO is ready for solids.

Oh i dont mind feeding her, just wondered why she was easily going 4/5hrs then sometimes only goes 2hrs. she did 630-930 10-12:00 12:30-4:30 then slept well. she does do well . but just the odd nights where she only has a 2hrs sleep before having a big sleep?

i wont introduce solids until 5.5/6m.. same as my first girl. they're very similar in weight and feeding. I was just mega tired last night so i posted. but i remember this with dd1 i think...
