tounge tie reattatched?

Thanks to some excellent advice here I think it is possible that my baby's tt has reattached. He had it snipped at 8 days and at 4 weeks we are struggling again.

Has anyone had this happen? How did you find out, how did you go about having it confirmed and re-treated?

No experience with this (ds1 got his snipped when he was 6yo) but wanted to say that there is a tongue tie babies support group on facebook where you could post pics for the lactation consultants to look at.

Did you do any massages and stretches after it was snipped? Did you have any bodywork (eg cranial osteopathy) done?

Yes, it is very possible for it to reattach, especially when they have it done that young. Did the person who snipped it give you any stretches to do to prevent reattachment? If they didn't then it is entirely possible. My dd has had hers snipped twice, and both times it reattached, as nobody told us that we needed to stretch it.

This is really informative:

Nobody ever mentioned stretches or re-attatchment, I was under the impression that it was all dealt with and finished.

It is only because I posted about bfing becoming painful again that a lively mnetter suggested that it could have happened.
