Dummy for 8 week old?

Feel a bit weird asking this as not very keen at all on dummies, but DS sucks his fists and fingers so much and I am keen to avoid him being a thumb sucker.

He is fed on demand, and I really mean FED. He goes rarely more than half hour, except at night where he'll get in 2 lots of 3.5 hours - yay!

But sometimes, now he has found his fingers, he seems to prefer them, spitting out my breast to suck them.

I'm really keen not to get another 6 yr old thumbsucker.

As for his weight, he's a bruzer!

Wwyd?

Hi,
My 3wk old does the same. The minute he comes off the breast after a good feed he starts sucking his fist or thumb. My DH says he must still be hungry but I am not so sure.
Any advice on this topic would be appreciated!
