shingles and breastfeeding - anyone know...

I'm pretty sure I have shingles (I've had it before) so I'll be seeing my GP tomorrow. However, it is likely I will be offered antiviral tablets (zovirax). Anyone know if I can take these and still breastfeed?

Have had a quick look in the formulary and they all state avoid. A couple can be given if the benefits outweigh the risks Aciclovir for example.HTH

Thanks. The doc has given me aciclivor on a "if it gets much worse in the next 24 hrs, take it" basis. He said avoid if poss. Hopefully it'll be a quick bout.
