When will my milk dry up?

Stopped feeling dd at 3am on weds, so four full days now. I haven't expressed any off, not even a tiny amount. I have avoided putting breasts under shower, wearing a bra.

But they are still huge and rock hard. They itch like mad and are so painful. They haven't gone down at all. How much longer could this last? It is so painful and a constant reminder that I can't feed her :(

Aw am sorry to hear this, its a tricky time and hugely emotional.

I didn't feed for ages so am not a pro by any means but I remember strapping them up up up in tight as bras ( those big sports ones are good) and taking paracetamol for the pain...

I would probably speak to a gp if it doesn't get a little easier tomorrow.

Best of luck!

There are things that can help your milk dry up. Sage leaf tea, iirc, and putting a cabbage leaf in your bra (really) can help relieve the pain and fullness.

Sorry you are going through a rough patch.
