Night time bra query

McPhee · 09/08/2012 22:09

I've been wearing a normal bra at night, but it's starting to get uncomfortable. Especially when it's warm.

What are others wearing at night? And where can I get something more comfortable?

I'm needing breastpads, so letting it all hang out is out of the question Blush

by normal do you mean a normal nursing bra?

you can get nighttime nursing bras but tbh i let it all hang out but if really leaky, whichi was as had oversupply issues i would lay on a towel and put a muslin cloth over my boobs! highly attractive, but once milk supply settled down i did away with the towel but always had muslins handy just in case :)

I had a sort of crop-top-bra from Crave, meant for pregnancy but also did for night-time. It was pretty much just a band of thin jersey material with non-adjustable straps. I also wore the M&S vest tops with the built-in "bra" (band of material with elastic) or feeding pjs - basically all just things that held the breast pads in place but weren't constricting. Might depend a bit on size what would be best...

I wear crop tops from primark. There's two in a pack black and white £4. Stretchy enough to pull down but hold pads in well

Towel, muslins and all hang out was what I did too!

The carriwell sleep bra is fab. It's around 8.99 super stretchy, comfy and holds pads in place well. No clips or hooks etc and is great. Can't link as on phone but can be found on more4mums.co.UK and even babies r us! If using more for mums site you can get 10% off with code MM15 :-)

As an aside the Emma Jane seamless maternity and nursing bra is fab too! £10/11 each and has bra back fastening, stretch cups that fit B-F so great at start of breast feeding and give good support. I'm an E and I love them!

I wear nursing vests bought 3yrs ago from Mothercare, or M&S secret support vests. Much more comfy than a bra!

I have nursing vest from mothercare as I need pads as well and they work fine in winter and summer had winter baby 3 years ago. And am using again now and the room is 25+, quite a few sites havd good offers on as well.

Primark vests with hidden support but in the nightwear / bra section. £2 each and lots of different colours

They hold pads in place (and muslin cloths if are a leaker like I was!) Wink

I wear the nursing bras I first had which are ridiculously too big for now me but they hold the breastpads in place
