Dieting and BF

I put on over 2 stone when pregnant and now I've had enough of not fitting into my clothes. DS is 3 months and I mixed feed. I have lost weight with slimming world before and I know they do a special BF diet but I'd like to try to lose a bit on my own before joining them again. Is there anything I should or shouldn't do? Will this effect my milk production? Tips and advice will be much appreciated!

I'm not dieting as such but i'm restricted in my diet for various reasons. I'm currently gluten, dairy & soya free which typically excludes most process foods & anything too lardy. I've been eating pretty healthily (fruit, veg, fish, rice etc) & am now below my pre-pregnancy weight.

I've had no issues with supply. I eat constantly but am burning it off I guess Smile

Have a read of Can I diet whilst Breastfeeding? and What affects the amount of fat or calories in Mom's Milk?.

Would recommend walking with the pram too. When I was wanted to loose my belly we were living on top of a steep hill. I used to walk down the bottom to the supermarket and then walk back up pushing the pram with the baby, change bag and shopping and it really helped. Made me feel loads better too.
