First period after breastfeeding, will it really be that bad?!

Think it's on it's way and we go on holiday tomorrow!
I am bf at night and dd is 6 months.

Is this really going to be as bad as Google says it will be?

Nope, neither of mine were a big deal. The anticipation and the PMS type symptoms were worse than the actual event and I wouldn't have said that they were that bad, it's just that I could sense something was going on.

Go prepared by all means but hopefully in this instance Google is just scaremongering!

My Dd is only 5 weeks, and I've got mine already. The first 2 days I was flooding a bit, and had some pain, but after that it's been like any other period. I'm Bfing and a bit at getting mine so quickly.

DD is 9mths. Felt a period coming for weeks now- not happened yet though!

See I just wasn't expecting it. Don't know why.
Have had a bit of tummy ache but that's all. I have actually been surprisingly good natured considering!

Are they meant to be bad? Ds turned 9 months, still bf morning night and afternoonnnd I had one, it was fine. I hadn't expected it and with hindsight I had pmt but the period itself was a bit lighter and pain free. I just hope it stays like this!
