ELCS in 2 days at 34 +1 for triplets. Am keen to get as much breastmilk into them as early as possible.
I have heard mention of starting to express prior to delivery, do any of you guys have any more info about it?

I had 2 EMCS's, one at 32 and one at 28 weeks. Didn't express before they were born but neither ended up needing formula.
Actually for ds3 I was expressing 80mls from the start.
for dd it was slower but she was initially fed intravenously from "red bags" but after a few days I was supplying over twice what she needed.

Thanks for the reassurances. Think I have some colostrum there already, but consultant not keen on any expressing until the morning of the CS to ensure I don't go into labour early. Will sit tight and start in hours leading up to section and keep fingers crossed.
Think I have got them aware that BF is the way I am going, so no bottles to be given, just need to stay strong.
