Today, my lovely friends, I have expressed a total of seventeen and a half fluid ounces (in two goes).

It is a personal best for me, and one of which I feel a ridiculous bovine pride.

LOL! Thats an immense amount, are you bottling it and selling it?

suzywong · 16/12/2003 15:44

Hats off, that is truly impressive. Go to the top of the herd

You'll be able to help Pie with her cheese shop!

aloha · 16/12/2003 15:56

Are you losing weight at a rate of knots?

suzywong · 16/12/2003 16:17

quick question
Is it 'normal' for breasts not to feel full once baby gets beyond about 6 weeks? DS is a whopper so no worries about nutrition but this thread got me thinking that I couldn't squeeze out 17.5 ounces if I was hooked up to a hoover.

GladTidings · 16/12/2003 16:18

Suzywong - After breastfeeding is established you produce milk on demand.

suzywong · 16/12/2003 16:20

thought so Glad, just had a quick streak of competitive mummy syndrome

Thank you for the congrats. SW, this is while dd2 is at her childminder's and I'm ahem working - no WAY could I get this out and combine with b/feeding!

You are even more of a prize heffer if you did it without looking at your baby, isn't even the sight of them meant to make you come over all milky?
May I call you Daisy?

motherinferior (or should I say superior? or Ermintrude?) I thought I was doing well getting a shade under 6oz out this afternoon, in my boss's office (she's out!). I find I perform best when I look through photos of dd2.aahhhhh

tinyfeet · 16/12/2003 20:52

White Gold! Tell me you manually expressed and I will truly be awe-stricken.

oooh - I'm so jealous - I never managed more that about 10 oz in one go at absolute maximum (first thing in the morning). I expressed full time for my twins and managed about 45 oz in total over about 8 sessions.

Photos never helped me - usually got most when I forgot what I was doing - surfing the net helped !
