Tommy Tippee vs Mam

Hi ladies,

After some advice please. I'm currently 30 weeks preg & intend to breastfeed, with DH occasionally bottle feeding. Am looking at either Tommy Tippee Closer to Nature or Mam - Any ideas as to which to go for?

Thanks!

We have combination fed with Tommy Tippee and quite liked them, but only have the medela teats to compare to - dont go there!!!

Hi Apple, congrats on your pregnancy/imminent little one!

I still BF my 1-year-old DS - he had bottles when I went back to work at 8 months. He had the TT ones in the early days but was never very keen. He took much more readily to the MAM ones, but that's possibly due to the fact that he had finally decided he would like a dummy and it was a MAM one with the same teat shape. I preferred them too, as they (the anti-colic ones we used) can be individually sterilised in the microwave in 3 minutes or so.

Thanks everyone, I was kinda steering more towards the Mam ones too, but they are a little more expensive than Tommy so wanted to check. Tell me, I assume I need a steriliser for the breast pump? Oh & maples yes, I did, thanks. DH was going to start feeding with the bottles after 6 weeks or so.

I've got a microwave steriliser but my breastpump says it's parts can't be microwaved so have just been boiling them in big pan which tbh is almost as easy

I like the TT ones - baby can easily switch from them to breast.
