Bottle feeds during night

Have a quick question re bottle feeding during the night. DD3 is now fully bottle fed, and I was planning on breastfeeding her during the night. However, my milk supply has practically disappeared and she's not getting enough to satisfy her. She has 5 bottles of formula a day (I've only just introduced the 5th one because of the milk supply). Do I demand feed her the bottles at night, so in theory she could be having 7 bottles of formula every 24 hours?

How old is she kando?

She's 4 weeks old

Yes you demand feed a 4 week old baby, regardless of what you are feeding them. 7 bottles of milk is actually not very frequent for a 4 week old.

She is very young yet so I think you should let her let you know what she wants. My DS was fully bottle fed by 6 weeks and used to have 7 - 8 full bottles of formula a day ... 5/6 during the day and 2/3 at night. By 12 weeks he only had 1 at night and by 4 months he didn't have any at night ....
Is your DD having full 8oz bottles? My DS did and he was a bloody hungry baby ... still eats for Britain at the age of 6 (a fit and healthy 6 year old I might add Smile)

Thanks ladies. Ghosty - no, I'm making up 5oz bottles but she usually only drinks about 4oz of that. It's only a recent thing that we've switched to bottles and tbh I didn't expect her to switch so quickly - but that's because my milk supply has gone down so quickly! Both dd1&2 were breastfed at night until they slept through (which was at about 8 weeks!) Thanks for the advice - will make sure I've got at least 3 bottles in the fridge tonight, ready for action!
