8 week old suddenly refusing bottle

I am really stuck now. She has taken bottles of EBM fine from week 1 (had to give top ups as she'd lost so much weight). But since last weekend, she's suddenly started refusing the bottle altogether. My partner has been doing one of the night feeds on the weekends which has been an amazing help but now he tries for a while - but she just will not suck on the teat and gets upset like he's trying to poison her! We've kept it so i'm always out of the room when he gives her the bottle.

We were using tommy tippee bottle, last night tried an Avent one which has a faster flow but that was no better. I really want to try and crack this so we can keep giving the odd bottle where necessary. I'm worried if we don't get this back on track, it could be ages before she'll accept the bottle again. Is that the case? Thanks in advance for any advice and tips!

amateurmamma - might be worth you trying to give the bottle, seeing as how the usual 'trick' of someone else giving it while you hide :) has not worked.

It is not worth upsetting her, and persisting does not make it easier.

Try again in a few days when she has forgotten she doesn't like it.

This experience shows that people who say you 'must' give bottles from early on to ensure they will always take one, are just wrong. No guarentees.
