First growth spurt

Despite being a trainee bfc I seem to have forgotten everything (hormones!!). Dd2 is 2 weeks and 3 days. She has fed almost all day - could growth spurt be the reason? Not that I mind (went to bed with her and had a 'feed in' which has been great) and thought this was probably why - am I right?

Could be - I think the textbook says 3 weeks for the first growth spurt, but maybe your baby hasn't read the textbook and is a few days early.

I think its 10 days, 2 weeks, 6 weeks and 3 months

They are all just rough estimates though so that is probably what it is! Enjoy the snuggly feedathons

There's no convincing evidence that I've seen that growth spurts are more likely to happen at one (or more) age(s) rather than any other (though yes, they have various times in books). Babies' appetites vary, and it is really common for them to have periods where they fed intensively for a while....those periods can occur at any time. It doesn't matter what the calendar says - just go with the flow

Thanks folks - things have settled down a bit today but now have enough milk to feed every baby in Scotland!!
