Goats milk Formula???

Hi... does anyone have experience giving their little one goats milk formula? I don't eat cows milk myself as its so difficult to digest, so feel weird giving my baby it! Most of the goats milk formulas say 6 months +... does anyone know the reason why? My little one is 4 months.
Thanks

Haven't used much formula so can't be of use really, but did thnk that Goat's Milk Formula was illegal is this country. Could be completely wrong though.

It doesn't meet the standards of nutrition or safety required and while it's not illegal to use it, it is illegal to market it as infant formula. Your HV should be able to give you info on this.

Hi,
I have no experience of this, but the proteins in goats' milk (and sheep's milk, for that matter) are v similar, so may also not be easily digestible by sensitive tummies. My dc3 has cows' milk and soy protein allergy and he and I (breastfeeding) can't substitute goat or sheep milk products for this reason.
