Am I being silly? BF-ing question

My son is almost 8 wks old and EBF. He's been cluster feeding like mad the last couple of days, as well as being wide awake and wanting to play all night long and I'm knackered.

Every time he settles this evening I try to give hin tso someone to hold/ put him down so I can rest, but he's having none of it and screams to be fed every time.

My friend says I need my sleep and should leave him crying with them for a bit but I justt can't do it and have brought him to bed with me - BF for a bit and now he is fine, so am keeping him up here.

Am I being silly? I think she thinks I'm being a pushover and shouldn't 'give in'. Would love some advice, thank you in advance!

You are doing the right thing. He is only tiny, and he needs you. He is way too young to be 'trained' in any way.

Co-sleeping can help ebf mothers get a bit more sleep.

Aw. You can't "give in" to a tiny baby. He's not game playing or being wilful. He's telling you that he wants something, and that might be a snuggle with his mum, or more food. You'd have to be a harder woman than me to not give it to him! I bet he's adorable.

Absolutely agree with discrete. Your baby is tiny and needs you. He may well be growth spurting. He's also beginning to figure out you aren't always with him and calls for you if you aren't there.

It's such a short period in their lives when they are so dependent on their mums. I just don't understand people who can't put their child first when they are so small. Please feel reassured by what you are doing, co sleeping (v pillow behind you, duvet at your waist, baby on your chest) will help you both sleep.

Thanks everyone, my instincts were right then! And you're right, he's completely adorable!

Am very reassured, thanks so much.
