Defrosted expressed milk - how long is it safe to use?

The milk was defrosted about 4 hours ago (and I'm assuming gently warmed). Baby wasn't hungry and didn't drink it (grrr) - do I have to chuck it away or can I give it to her again? How long does it last?

Thanks!

Kellymom is your friend for all things bf. Hang on...

If it was frozen right away then 48 hours out of the freezer but chilled in the fridge is fine. If it was allowed to come to room temperature, rather than kept chilled, then max 24 hours depending how long it was kept at room temp for - the max it should be kept at room temperature before being chilled in fridge is 1-2 hours.

Ok, it looks all weird on my phone, try having a look see if you can find it.

But I think it would be fine.

Thanks the the fast replies!
Kellymom is useful isn't it, but I couldn't seeit on my phone either.

Sounds like I might need to bin it. It was frozen straight away but has now been left out at room temp for 4 hrs. 2 days expressing down the drain Sad
