But how do you know when they are?

Ds2 is 22months. I honestly thought we would be BF until at least 3 as he LOVED his bee bees and still fed 6-8x a day (with 3 meals and 2 snacks as well) but he seems to have gone from that to practically nothing over night.

Usually he wouldn't leave me alone until he'd had his morning feed, now he's not bothered about it in the slightest, usually he would feed to sleep for his naps, now he's going to sleep without it, even at bedtime he's only having the smallest feed ever and then taking himself off to his bed. He's not pulling at my top anymore during the day (which I am thankful for)

Self-weaning usually happens very gradually. Can you think of anything that might have caused him to stop suddenly? Teething or ear infections can make it painful to nurse. Or is there a possibility that you're pregnant?

If you do want to carry on BF then try lots of skin-to-skin, cuddles and feeding him when he's sleepy.

If you're happy stopping then keep an eye out for blocked ducts. You may want to express a bit to relieve any engorgement. And give yourself a massive pat on the back

No nothing's changed. Certainly not pregnant.

He's still very happy and going about business as usual, just doesn't want the breast anymore.

I have put him to bed every single night since he was born because he would have a feed before he went to sleep but tonight he went off quite happily with daddy and went to sleep no problems.

He's probably had about 2mins total on the boob today.

He did ask for it earlier but once I got my boob out he just played for a second then walked off.

I guess this is it then. and [happy] at the same time.
