Self weaning at 16 months?

I'm not sure if he is or not. I work a few evenings in a week and therefore am not always about to do his night time feed. Previously he's had no milk (never took a bottle and would barely have a sip from a cup) but now takes milk in a cup really well (actually he pulls his cup out of the cupboard and points it at the fridge). I was still doing a morning feed as he seemed to want it but hasn't shown any interest this morning. I was planning to feed till 2 and then see where to go (I was originally planning to feed to 6months, then a year etc Grin ).

The main question is we've had real problems settling him at night. Hes never been a great sleeper, has improved since night weaning (very gentle approach as he went a bit boob crazy at night so I just cuddled him in bed till he realised he wasn't getting fed at night but I was still there for him). He used to settle easily after a feed. but then even the few evenings I was feeding him when home he started not settling. Now its a struggle to settle him at 9ish 10ish which I suppose is fine but not ideal. He has a dinner/bath/milk routine but won't sit still long enough to settle. He's better if he hasn't had a nap (only has a nap when out in the pram in the afternoon, wouldn't nap if say we were just at home but most days, we're often out)

Pretty much a ramble

looks like it could be more of a nap thing. Out is possible for them to drop them this early.
