New SMA Ready Made Formula Packaging

Has anyone seen their new packaging it is ridiculously large, in plastic bottles for which you can buy separate teats (at an additional cost) to use with the bottles and the price has hiked from 65-70p depending on shop to 90p.

At least it is still in 250ml cartons rather than 200ml like Aptamil and C+G.

I would change out formula but 7 mo DS has just started childcare 3 days a week and when there is now on 2x120ml bottles in the day so if she pops half back in the fridge he only needs the 1 carton a day so it will still be cheaper than moving to the other brands where he will need 2 cartons.

Is this the result of market research? Who thought this was a good idea? Seems like profiteering to me.

I don't know but I'm not going to buy them, SMA made dd sick when she was smaller so swapped to cow and gate and havent looked back

SMA are a bad company who only car about profits, hence why so many people boycott it. So yes, it probably is all about the money and nothing to do with 'what people want'

Figgy- there's a sticky at the top of the BF/FF forum with a link to a petition to stop this sort of thing from happening.
