Just started using this due to a almighty screaming spell today- what are others experiences? How did you administer it and how often ?

I bought it and never got my DS to take it, so that's the first trick... whereas as infacol showed off an early pavlovs dog style response with a little open mouth waiting for the pipette! good luck Hmm

I was given a bunch of plastic syringes when I was in hospital, so I used those for gripe water. i had mixed experience and often alternated with infacol.

not sure how effective either were, but the best thing we tried was baby massage for wind/colic.

your local children's centre may run courses - definitely worth a call.

I always put infacol into the bottle, seemed to help

AWomanCalledHorse · 09/07/2012 19:39

I give it to DS in his milk (same with the infacol), never tried giving it to him any other way.
It's amazing, we use 5ml-ish every feed & he doesn't feel the need to go all Linda Blair on us anymore.

We bought some last week after some awful screaming sessions. Good results so far. I give it using the 5ml syringe that came with a bottle of nurofen. DD will eat anything so sucks it up in a flash! I've so far only given it once a day as usually she only gets distressed and windy in the evening. The outcome is usually an almighty burp within a few minutes of giving the gripe water and then she visibly relaxes.

Is anyone using both gripe water and infacol ?
