my 6 week old has oral thrush and has passed it on to me :( i'm finding it nealy impossible to feed. we went to the doctor today and have started a course of treatment but that won't start to have any real effect for a couple of days. is there anything i can do to make feeding more comfortable till the thrush is clear?

I used to take a couple of paracetamol before a feed, when it got really bad. Other than that, I just used to grit my teeth and pray dc (got it with both kids) wouldn't want to feed for a while!

Did the GP medicate for both you and your baby polkadot?

If not, you'll be passing it back and forth between the two of you.

Hope things get better soon- it sounds pretty bad.
