Which double pump to buy after hiring a hospital grade pump (Medela Symphony)

We hired a hospital grade double pump when we were having low milk supply issues. My PFB is now 6 weeks old and my DH is starting to look ahead to a time when we will buy our own double pump. Can anyone recommend one? I assume it is not possible, nor reasonable, to buy a hospital grade pump but how different are the retail versions? I have reduced the number of times I pump per day to 3 or 4 sessions of 10-20 minutes but am worried the retail versions will not be as good....

Looking forward to hearing other people's experiences and recommendations.

I'm using a Lactaline Personal hired from the children's centre at the moment. They've only given me a single collection kit with it, but it's pretty effective and would be good as a double. It's quiet, which is good. I was lent a similar one but a medela of some sort last time and it was really noisy.

I also had the Lactaline Personal. I bought it because I used the hospital version of the Lactaline after I had given birth and it was great. I wasn't disappointed, it was fab - very efficient, quiet, easy to use,in fact I couldn't fault it.

I am using an Avent double electric. I chose it because I got on well with the Avent manual pump. The electric one is really comfortable to use and efficient, the double pumping makes it quicker if i need/want to express a full feed and it can be converted to manual which is handy for going away. It is expensive £250 new but I got mine for £60 from ebay in perfect condition. It is a bit noisy however but I don't mind that.

Another vote for the Ameda lactaline personal.
