FF baby refusing feeds...teething?

My daughter is 4 months and, in the past week, has started to get very unhappy while feeding. She'll gulp down the first 20-50mls then come off, but then refuses to take any more, even after a good burp. If I try to bring the bottle back to her mouth, she turns her head, gags, screams, wriggles etc. She's not taking nearly as much milk as she used to and I just have no idea what to do.

Any ideas what might be causing it? She is showing some signs of teething (dribble, chewing on her comforter/Sophie Giraffe/hands), so wondering if that might be it. Is it normal for teething to have this effect?

It could be teething. However it could be a sore throat, this can cause drooling too. Or sometimes a blocked nose can cause them to come off the bottle as they can't breath very easily (i've had all of the above with my two!)

My 10 week old is the same - I find she just wants a little break, usually involving a jig to the radio, then she'll feed some more.

My DD did exactly the same and we were getting so stressed about it. I rang the HV and she suggested she could be teething. I disregarded this because there had been no other signs of teething, but low and behold she had a tooth coming through!! She refused bottles for about 3 weeks before the sign of a tooth breaking through. To reassure you, she is now drinking most of her bottles as normal again.
