A bit too much to drink - pump and dump?

I had a girls night out (first since my twins were born 7.5 months ago!) and drank one pimms, 3 glasses of champagne but ate lots of food. Am expressing right now, can I use the milk or should I dump? And (assuming I hopefully do not need to feed overnight as usually sleep through) am I ok to feed at 7am tomorrow?

Sounds like a good girls night out! The information I read on Kellymom (which seems to have lots on info on breastfeeding) was that if you're save to drive you're safe to bf - so personally I'd dump the expressed milk, but you should be fine to bf tomorrow morning.

Don't waste your milk by throwing it away.

no, i prob wouldn't use the milk you're expressing now and i'm usually fairly blase about it!
you should be fine by morning though

showtunesgirl · 05/07/2012 23:21

There's no need to pump and dump, it's fine!

showtunesgirl · 05/07/2012 23:22

Sorry, posted too soon. I'm fairly certain that Truthsweet posted something about this the other day about how you'd have to be paralytic in order for it to make a difference to your milk.

Rubirosa · 05/07/2012 23:30

I probably wouldn't use the milk you're pumping now unless necessary. I would definitely feed at 7am though!

FreelanceMama · 05/07/2012 23:34

I'd get rid of it. I express too and know what a pain that is but think it's too soon. I thought the advice was to allow one hour per unit for it to get out of your system so 7am would be fine I'd hope!

more info here on kellymom

Thanks all, that's great.
Having read the kellymom info and the advice from you all I think I'll dump it, its only 4oz for tomorrow's porridge, I'll just take some out of the freezer.
